Brief Description of Welsh Cardigan Corgi: Welsh Cardigan Corgi or Cardigan Welsh Corgi is one of two separate dog breeds known as Welsh Corgis that has originated in Wales The Cardigan name was derived from Cardiganshire in Wales and these breed of dogs have been around more than 3000 years making them the oldest herding dogs. They have also been moniker as the "yard long dogs." and the American Kennel Club described this dog as an "Alsatian dog on short legs." From a distant the Welsh Cardigan dog resembles the sausage dog and does look comparable to a dachshund dog. Nonetheless, it is evident that these Cardigan Welsh Corgi are from are said to originate from the Teckel family of dogs, which was also responsible for producing the dachshunds. It's easy to understand why these dogs looks similar to the German Dachshund.
