  Picture of a Weimaraner Dog

The Weimaraner Dog is graceful and elegant in poise. The Weimaraner animal is a dog of gracefulness, with an  aristocratic look of elegance, disposition and of great intelligent characteristics about it as shown in this photograph. The Weimaraner dog is smooth with colours in shades of mouse-gray to silver-gray. Notice the relax and alert mannerism the German Weimaraner dog displays. This Weimaraner dog shown was in training and  made to take up the position shown in picture, as he was under instructed command by the dog trainer. When this picture was taken the dog was being trained in obedience and from what was seen of the dog  being trained, suggests that the German Weimaraner dog is very easy to train. History tells us that the first batch of Weimaraner dogs was exported to the United States in 1929. Then in 1935 long-haired Weimaraner litter was first documented. The first arrival in United Kingdom of the Weimaraner dogs was in 1952 when they were imported from Germany. These dogs were put to work as gundogs being as they were already trained in Germany before their arrival in Britain. The Weimaraner dog made it's the first appearance in the 1953 Croft's dog show. In that same year the formation of the Weimaraner Dog Club was achieved, about 34 dogs was registered after the Weimaraner Dog  Cub was founded. Some of these dogs were sent to France in 1954.
