USAF Aircraft F-86A Sabre

Brief Description of USAF Aircraft F-86A Sabre Shown in Photograph above: The Sabre F86A aircraft made its flight in 1948, and later in the same year  an F86A Sabre aircraft broke the air speed record with a speed of 670.9 mph, almost breaking the sound barrier. In 1949 USAF F86a  Sabre Jet aircraft entered into service. Before that period in 1947 a prototype F86 Sabre was tested in 1947. The aircraft was a new type of single engine airplane featuring swept back wings and powered by a General Electric engine which produced a stunning 4,850lbs of thrust power. wingspan of new type of combat jet aircraft measured in the region of 37ft. The design of the F86 was due to gathered information taken from the Germans. The Sabre F86 Jet aircraft fighter was the brain child the North American Aviation Company which was based in the USA. F-86A, F-86E and F-86F's Sabre jet fighters all played a part in the Korean War.  the Sabres had a kill ratio of 8:1 and  10:1  which means there were ten enemy planes shot down by Sabre Jets fighters to loss of single Sabre Aircraft. The Sabre jets  were fighting against Soviet-piloted MiG-15's. The Russian built MiG-15 aircrafts suffered a loss at the hands of Sabres said to be between 757 to 792 while a total of some 810 total of other different types aircraft were destroyed  by the Sabre jet fighters guns against a loss of between 76 and 103 of Sabre jets to enemy fighters. A truly remarkable feat air to air combat set by the amazing Sabre F86 Jet fighters. The F-86 Sabres was eventually superseded by more capable types of jet fighter aircraft. This  was followed-up on by the North American Super Sabre F100 jet plane fighters that begun service in 1954. Despite the Sabre jets design origins at the beginning in World War 2. Sabre Fighter Planes had a quite long  productive live. It's production total ensured that Sabres would become a deterrent to Soviet Union actions in Europe and around the world.
