Brief Description of The Tijou Screen : The first design of the  screen was in iron grey painting. William III and Mary II was a life long patron of Jean Tijou who arrived in England1689 when they first began their reign. The central motifs, the thistle, garter star, rose, harp and monogram of William III and Mary II are all symbols of the kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
