Brief Description of the Rook Bird. At first glance, this bird looks like a Carrion Black Crow. Unlike the Carrion Crows these birds are sociable birds, they are usually found in groups of several birds. Rook birds are recognized by their greyish white face, thinner beak and peaked head. Rooks feed and roost in flocks during winter and is often together with  the jackdaw, another type of blackbird.
