Teddington Locks Gate Picture
A description of Teddington Locks Gate shown in Photograph above: Teddington Locks is a complex of three locks 1. conventional launch lock. 2. is a very large barge lock. 3 small skiff lock. The larger barge lock is equipped with an additional set of gate situated in the middle. This allow Teddington lock to operate in two sizes. Teddington Locks are supervised and manned on a 24 hours rota system day throughout the year. The locks are under the control of two authority agencies 1. The Port of London Authority, they are the navigation authority downstream. 2 The Environment Agency, the navigation authority for upstream. Teddington lock complex and weir on the River Thames at Ham in the western suburbs of London and the lock is on the southern Surrey side of the River Thames.
