Standard Vanguard Saloon Car
A description of the 1956 Standard Vanguard Saloon car shown in our copyright free picture image! Although little known about these motor cars today, the Standard Vanguard motor cars was one the most popular saloon cars in the United Kingdom. They were one of the top six selling marques during pre-war Britain! Standard Motorcar Company was found in 1903 by Reginald Walter Maudslay who said; "I will name my car the Standard!" These cars were being built in a Coventry Car Manufacturing Factory. Last Standard Vanguard motor car was produced in 1963 after being taken over by the new British Leyland Motors! British Leyland then replaced the Standard Vanguard models with the Triumph 2000 Saloons. Vehicle shown in picture is a Standard Vanguard Junior 4-door saloon car that was produced in 1956!
