Picture of Usain Bolt A description of Usain Bolt! Usain Bolt was born in Trelawney, Jamaica, West Indies on 21st August 1986, christened as Usain St. Leo. Bolt and has been moniker as "Lightening Bolt" in the athletic sports track and field circle due to his habit of smashing his own world records both in the 100 meters and 200 meters. In 2008 Olympics held in Beijing, China, Usain Bolt sets a new world for the 100m track and field sprint race of 9.69 seconds. Usain Bolt not satisfied with demolishing the 100 meters Olympic record, he went on to blow away the Olympics 200m world record by setting a time of 19.68sec and also claimed a new world record for the 4x100 meters relay sprint, achieving three Olympic Gold Medals. Then in 2009, the indomitable Usain Bolt demolished his own world records on way to the 100m and 200m Gold in Berlin World Championships Athletics with times of 9.58sec and 19.19sec respectively and soon he will be ready for the 2012 London Olympics! Usain Bolt first ambition was cricket, he wanted to become a fast bowler like other great West Indian fast bowlers.
