Brief Description of Tidal Level Barrier: It has been recorded that tide levels are steadily increasing owing to combined factors of higher mean sea levels,  increasing tide amplitude, tilting of the British Isles, the south eastern corner tipping downwards and the settlement of London on its bed of clay. It is said that protective planning for next 100 years has already begun. Lights on the barrier gives directions which way to go
