Brief Description of London Bridge in the Photograph: The first wooden bridge was built by the Saxons. That bridge was replaced by a bridge of stone structure in 1176 dedicated to St. Thomas Becket. That bridge was replaced by a five arched classical granite bridge with houses and shops in 1831, sold off to the Americans. The new London Bridge was open in 1973.
