In the wild Patas monkeys feeds on fruits, seeds, leaves, grass, animal prey including lizards, bird eggs and insects! These species of monkeys are large animals with slender limbs which enables them to run at speeds of up to 34 miles per hour! The Patas Monkey suffers from habitat loss due to development of farmland and cattle grazing. In some regions of Africa Patas Monkeys are also killed for their meat!
