Male Emu Bird PictureBrief Description of Male Emu as shown in picture above! It is said that there are just about 7 species of flightless birds left in the world today! The Emu, Ostrich, Rhea, Kiwis, Cassowaries, Tinamou and the Penguin, of all the bird mentioned above, there is one difference here; the Penguin swims underwater and when seen, it looks as if the Penguin bird is flying underwater! But did you know, long ago there was once a flightless bird known as the Elephant bird of Madagascar which weighed around 965lbs and stood 10ft tall! Then there was a couple other flightless birds like the dodos and the auks! The dodo was a very large pigeon! Picture was taken on location at the Battersea children zoo! | |
