Brief Description of Horse Drawn Fire Engine in the Photograph was taken at Battersea Park, UK. The Fire Engine shown the Photograph is the 1902 St Giles Steam Fire Engine. The engine can be steamed from cold in 9 minutes flat and pump 350 gallons a minute with a jet of 150ft high. The St Giles Fire Engine was in service from 1902 until 1946 and since, only been used once. It has made many public exhibitions.
