Brief Description of HM Customs and Excise Vigilant: HM Vigilant arrived at Canning Dock on the morning tide of 7th May, 2005. Constructed and built by Damen Shipbuilders at a cost of £4.3m. HM Vigilant was commissioned in June 2003. Her Majesty's Customs Cutter Vigilant is a state of the art anti-smuggling vessel. HM Vigilant ship patrols the South East area of England.
