The late 18th and 19th century was an era that propagated British giants in the field of engineering, but of them all, the greatest of was Isambard Kingdom Brunel! Isambard Brunel designed ships, bridges, tunnels, railway lines, locomotive engines, but his most famous designs was his creation of the first large colossal vessel in the world driven by a screw propeller! That ship is known as the SS Great Britain an iron-hull steamship built in 1843, which is now a museum piece in dry dock at the Bristol dock where the ship was built! Isambard Kingdom Brunel was also famous for bridges such as the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol and the Royal Albert Bridge across Thames River in London! Isambard Kingdom Brunel was also responsible for the design of the Westminster Abbey in London and the Bristol Thames Meade railway station!
