Brief Description of Gippsland GA8 Airvan as shown in photograph above! The Gippsland GA8 Airvan is a single-engined utility aircraft produced by Gippsland Aeronautics of Victoria in Australia! The prototyped made its maiden flight in 1998 and was introduced to aviation service in 2000! The Gippsland was specially designed to fill the gap between the Cessna 206 and the Cessna Caravan aircraft! It was developed to handle the gruelling conditions of the Australian landscape! The Gippsland aircraft is ideal for operators in remote areas faced with rugged terrain and basic conditions! The Gippsland GA8 Airvan plane can also be used for sightseeing, searching, rescuing freight loads, parachuting, observation, and a passenger service carrier! The Gippsland GA8 Airvan is still in production, it has been noted that so far, more than 2000 aeroplanes have been produced since it was introduced to aviation service!
