The supersonic Concorde aircraft was the most recognisable passenger jet airliner in the world for it's silky smooth design! Initially, it was thought that a standard kit could be designed for each aircraft that could be modified at anytime! *The Concorde airliner had a seating capacity of just 100, weighed 148,004 kg, carried 119,265 litres of fuel! The Concorde airliner first maiden flight was on 2nd March 1969! Eventually, Concorde was introduced to airflight commercial passenger service on 21st January 1976! *Concorde primary users of the airliner were our own British Airways, Air France and Braniff International Airways! *The Concorde supersonic airliner was like a gliding sea bird in the skies! It was heart breaking to the general public, all those who flew in the supersonic jet airplane and to all those people who could not afford £3,000 to fly in the aircraft! When the governments who resides over the countries that the Concorde supersonic jet plane was in service with, made the decision to withdraw the supersonic airliner from passenger airflight services! Concorde's last flight was on 26th November 2003 ending it's 27 years of supersonic flights it was indeed, a heart-breaking sad day! But for everyone on the planet, the Concorde supersonic airliner will always remain a symbol in the history of commercial aviation!
