Common Grey SquirrelDescription Common Grey Squirrel (sciurus caroliniensis)! Photograph of this cheeky little grey squirrel was taken on location in East Dulwich Village Park not far from away from the Dulwich Park pond! It is not uncommon to see the common grey squirrel to ascend downward with it's head pointing down towards the ground and then suddenly stops half way up the tree! This is something the common grey squirrel do on a regular basis, especially, if there are people around! As the story goes these grey squirrels are not native to the United Kingdom, they are more like foreign exiles! The real natives of the UK, are the red squirrels, these grey immigrant grey squirrels are much larger than the red squirrels and they breeding more frequent than the red squirrel, eventually, the grey squirrels began killing off the native red squirrels with a disease that the alien squirrels have! However, the acrobatic eastern grey squirrels are great fun to observe! | |
