Brief Description of Blue Snow Goose: This goose has two colour phases of blue and white. It appear in both colour phases east of the Great Plains, the dark colour phase is rare west of the Great Plains. In the blue phase head and upper neck are white with a slate gray body as shown. They preferred nesting areas that are located on the open tundra near ponds and shallow lakes.
